After returning to the U.S., IUHPFL alumni are required to fill out an exit survey about their program experience. This survey helps IUHPFL evaluate the instructors, the host family experience, excursions and activities as well as other aspects of the program. Sometime in September and once students complete the survey, they will receive a final packet.
This packet will include the following items:
- The student's final evaluation as provided by the instructor team
- An IUHPFL Diploma marking the completion of the program
At School and Beyond
When/if alumni return to their high school, we encourage them to support world language learning at their school to the best of their ability.
Alumni are also asked to share their IUHPFL experience with family, friends, and potential future students.
College
Many IUHPFL alumni choose to attend Indiana University, where there are many opportunities to study abroad again. IU offers more than 380 international programs in 18 languages and 67 countries. Students should visit the IU Education Abroad website to learn more about the opportunities that are available. The IU Education Abroad Office is located in the same building as IUHPFL — the Ferguson International Center.
