The Polyglot Press Summer 2025

Dear beloved IUHPFL community,

Departure day has come and gone! I am very excited for the 119 students who set off on their Summer 2025 IUHPFL adventures just days ago. These students come from 50 different high schools and 27 distinct counties around Indiana. They are incredible young people with varied interests, accomplishments, and goals. We are thrilled for them to come together for what we hope is an extraordinary summer living their languages. You can read more about these students, their instructors, and some of the activities in store for them throughout this newsletter.

Thank you to Indiana world language teachers!

From encouraging their students to apply to IUHPFL, to preparing them in and outside of class, to being their cheerleaders while abroad, language teachers are essential to students' success in the program. IUHPFL appreciates all that teachers do for their students. At the end of last year, we sent out a call to IUHPFL students to nominate their world language teachers, and we received many responses. We have been periodically featuring nominees on our social media, and we wanted to continue the appreciation here in the newsletter!
