Anneliese Toumey joined the IUHPFL team in November 2023 as Program Coordinator. For Anneliese, this is a return to IU! As an undergraduate, she studied abroad her junior year in Perú through IU’s Lima program and graduated with degrees in Spanish and History in 2016. After college, Anneliese joined City Year San Antonio, tutoring and mentoring students at Rhodes Middle School. She then earned her graduate degree in teaching through the University of Wisconsin. She taught social studies and language arts in a dual language immersion program at Sherman Middle School in Madison, Wisconsin for three years. She then moved back to her hometown of Indianapolis to teach history at North Central High School for two years. Anneliese moved back to Bloomington earlier this year, and we are very excited to have her on our team.
