In the heart of Spain, Ciudad Real welcomed 23 spirited students this summer for an unforgettable IUHPFL experience under the guidance of instructors Lara, Erika, and Gage. Isabel, our dedicated Onsite Coordinator, bridged the connection between the program and the town, ensuring a seamless integration of our students into the rhythm of local life. It was in Ciudad Real that the students truly delved into their linguistic journey, attending classes and exploring the city.
But beyond the structured learning, it was the warmth of the Ciudad Real host families that became a transformative element of our program. These wonderful families opened their homes and hearts, offering more than just shelter. Through shared meals, stories, and everyday moments, students gained an unparalleled understanding of Spanish culture and customs. The bonds forged with these families proved invaluable, highlighting the profound personal growth and deeper cultural appreciation that comes from such interactions.
