He returned confident in his ability to handle himself in difficult situations and an interest in his host country that will span a lifetime.

Sam had a wonderful summer studying in Mérida. He could not have had a more wonderful family who took him under their wings and treated him like a family member.

He grew to really care about and to love his classmates and teachers. He and his roommate Connor have made a pact to meet at least once a week for a short meal or milkshake.

Both my husband and I have studied abroad and appreciate the advantages of being at least proficient in another language. This program reflects what studies confirm to be the most effective way to learn and study a language. I wish I had participated in your program and wish you had a program like this for adults!!!

If a student wants to be proficient in another language and learn to appreciate another culture, this program will help him/her achieve those goals.

This program is for the serious student who wants to learn and is committed to the parameters so clearly communicated at your orientation and in the handbook and website.

My son absolutely relished his experience and returned feeling immensely proud of himself.  School just started for him and he has commented on how the summer in Mérida has put him at such an advantage compared to his peers in his AP Spanish class. He is thrilled to be able to understand most everything his high school Spanish teacher says and finds it much easier to speak in class.

This experience in Mérida has convinced him that he wants to minor in Spanish in college. What could be a better testament to his experience with your program!

I can only begin to imagine how difficult and time consuming it is for the program organizers to put in place all the pieces necessary to create such a robust language immersion program, but Sam was definitely one of the fortunate students who got to benefit from all of your hard work and coordination. Thank you.
