We truly felt that Kate was in great hands, from the moment she checked in at the airport in Chicago until she came through the doors seven weeks later, dragging a new suitcase full of French cookies (I kid you not).

We were so thrilled that our daughter had an opportunity to study abroad, and with the IUHPFL years of past experience and expertise under their belt, we were confident she was in good hands. What we could not predict, but were very grateful for, was the very loving family she was placed with. Dominique and Monique incorporated her into their lives from day 1, spending each weekend in the "camping car" going through the entire region.

She met extended family members and truly felt like she belonged. She really missed them (and still does). Kate loved her instructors ~ she said they were very challenging, but she learned so much! She has a greater love for the French language now, and this experience is one that was worth every penny we spent.
